Street Art

Sometimes though as vandalism, Sometimes as Art, Graffiti always is amazing and outright way to express a message to everybody. Graffiti doesn't discriminate genders, skins or religions, is a message given to everyone who look the site its done. Anyway, i think graffiti not only can send a public message, but also can talk about the citizens and how is the culture of people on the city the painting is.

For example, graffitis have not been conceived the same way between Barranquilla and Bogota. In our city we can see a lot of draws not finished and carnival graffitis everywhere. Thats because government just support graffiti on culture representations with folklore meanings, but in bogota, a few campaigns support graffiti's artist giving them different spaces to express their messages with freedom. 

We can see a lot of differences between Argentinan and colombian culture in their street art. Actually in Argentina people have adopt graffiti as a way to decorate streets and make the city an art gallery, but Bogota see on graffitis a way to express disagreement with standard ideology and political nonconformity for example.

My point is, in conclusion, graffiti isn't just a way to express a thinking of the artist, or send a message. Graffiti express too the way of living of the city, the culture and ideology of people.

Afrocolombians

The video is about a guy who move to the capital ,bogota, to find a better job and quality of life. But he has a lot of trouble when he realize he cant find a good place, or a good job  because his skin color. Being upset, angry, powerless and even affraid is how this man feels when all this racist situations happen. And dissapointment is what i feel about this lack of humanity.
76% of afrocolombians are too pour, 42% are unemployed and isn't a surprise some people think in black people as gardeners, plumbers, mechanics without education or even thiefs.
Crazy is that these race are genetically strongers and more skilled than white one, and have contributed a huge part of the cultural atmosphere on the country, so their aren't less than anyone.

i think solution of their situation could start in education, improving their self -steem and confidence, and ovbiously their posibililities. And for racism is education too, teaching people equality, solidariti, respect and even punish this awful behaviour.
Afrocolombian means a lot, means culture, means smiles, funny and interesting dances, means traditions, even mean tasty food and, overall means History, something mankind can not forget never never never.

A short greeting

Hi dear reader!

My name is Amy Montenegro Cera, but closest friends also call me Mimy. Im 18 years old and maybe by my height everybody get shock when i tell it. My name is kind of atypical in my city and when people try  to write it or spell it is quite hard because the pronunciation isnt in spanish. Almost everybody have made the mistake writing it as Eimi, Emi, Yeimi (that dislike me a lot) and even the taxi number 322-2222 have registered my name as Edwin Montenegro. Anyways, my parents put me this name because my father´s best friend lives in Dallas, a city on U.S. and he heard the name a lot and like it so much, so my mother (not really convinced) search the meaning on a book and it says it means "beloved" or something similar and approved it. I named my blog Shore Shark because 3 several reasons: 

First, my favorite place to be and live is near of the beach. I love the water, the sand (even dirty as it is on my location), being on the shore, the shells closer the water, the forms of the foam (sorry if it sounds poetic) makes me soooo happy and the sunset and the sound of the sea is perfect to be after an endless and exhausting marathon of university work.

At second i love all kinds of fish, they have so many sizes, colors, they always looks so interesting.. they are preeeetty cool!

The third reason is i love the tv show called rocket power (ha ha ha) and all the rocket family and reggie rocket is my idol so they always meet at the restaurant of ray rocket called "Shore Shack". That serie is awesome!
